Hwa Rang Do Minneapolis Summer Camps 2021Sunday, August 1, 2021 - 5:13pmThe summer is off to a great start at the Minneapolis Hwa Rang Do® Academy! Two summer camp sessions were offered in the month of June. The first session was Robotics Week, June 14 - 18, and the second session was All Around The World, June 21-25. One could have never imagined that in the 21 Century that the stronghold of the Hwarang Warriors would be in what was once the center of the Western Civilization, the Roman Empire, but in retrospect it seems as though it was destiny. WHRDA 2021 Digitial Summer Event AnnouncementFriday, June 4, 2021 - 4:05pmI hope the spring is treating you well, and that the fresh air is invigorating your spirit. As the seasons change, we must also continue to move forward with our life’s journey. Of course the past year has been a challenge, and the many governmental lockdowns have inhibited our capacity to gather in-person, yet we recognize that the strength of our community and the bonds of our brotherhood propel us to expand to greater heights. It is unfortunate that international travel and group events are still under significant restrictions preventing us from another year of our traditional annual Hwa Rang Do summer gathering in person. However, it is essential that we still gather together and that we will still connect this year through the digital world! Yes, this summer of 2021 we will be holding a Digital Championship Tournament, special live interactive seminars with Kuksanim & Dojoonim, and also have a celebration of annual awards, tournament results, and a special highlight of Italy’s 20th Anniversary! Especially during these challenging times of government mandated lockdowns, the path of the Hwarang has only become a little more bumpy, yet never ceasing. Hwa Rang Do® Global University: While the transition to zoom classes a year ago due to COVID kept everyone training and connected, the launch of the Hwa Rang Do Global University last fall was a major milestone. My Experience in AfricaSaturday, May 1, 2021 - 5:14pm"Try not to become a man of success. Rather become a man of value." Albert Einstein I had a very good job in the Banking Service industry. At the age of 34, I was promoted to Executive Director level, with responsibilities for a product worth more than 100 million Euros per annum, and teams located in several European, and US hubs of the company that I was working for. I had worked very hard to be successful at my job, and I felt I had reached that goal, even going beyond my own dreams. I was successful. For quite some time I enjoyed that happiness that always comes with the sense of achievement. Something similar to that which a runner feels after a marathon: every muscle of their legs ache, their throat is sore from the intensified breathing and they are covered in sweat, and yet there is always a big smile on their face: they are victorious and have overcome the challenge!
